The approval grants the airline temporary authority to operate commercial cargo services in the U.S. under a one-year exemption, allowing operations through April 20, 2027.
The airline plans to initiate cargo flights from its hub in Zhengzhou to key U.S. gateways including Chicago and Los Angeles, with a frequency of three flights per week using Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft. This development introduces additional air cargo capacity on trans-Pacific routes, supporting trade flows between China and the United States.
Air Central currently operates a mixed fleet that supports both domestic and international cargo operations, and its expansion strategy includes the addition of more widebody freighter aircraft in the coming years.
