CMA CGM has announced updated Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for shipments moving from Mediterranean ports to the Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, and Far East trade lanes, effective June 1, 2026, until further notice.
The revised rates apply to dry cargo and empty paying containers originating from major Mediterranean regions, including the West Mediterranean, Adriatic, East Mediterranean, and Black Sea areas.
For Middle East Gulf destinations, the new pricing structure varies based on origin region and container type, with separate rates for 20-foot and 40-foot containers. Similar adjustments have also been introduced for Red Sea services depending on the port of origin.
In addition, CMA CGM has implemented new FAK rates for Far East-bound shipments from the Mediterranean, covering both 20-foot and 40-foot containers.
These adjustments reflect ongoing changes in global freight market conditions and may affect shipping costs, transit planning, and overall supply chain budgeting for importers and exporters operating across these trade lanes.
Shippers should also note that additional charges such as Terminal Handling Charges (THC), Peak Season Surcharges (PSS), security fees, and outport surcharges may apply depending on routing and destination requirements.
As ocean freight market conditions continue to evolve, staying updated on carrier pricing changes remains essential for effective logistics planning and cost control.
